Kenya Champions AI and Innovation Agenda at the 4th EAC Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Conference in Kigali Rwanda
Kenya has reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging emerging technologies as a catalyst for national and regional development, following its participation in the 4th EAC Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Conference held in Kigali, Rwanda. The country was represented by the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Idris Salim Dokota, PhD., CBS, who joined regional leaders, policymakers, researchers, and innovators in advancing discussions on the transformative potential of science, technology, and innovation across East Africa.
The conference was officially opened by Rwanda’s Minister for ICT and Innovation, Paula Ingabire, who emphasized the urgent need for African countries to embrace digital transformation as a pathway to sustainable and inclusive development.
